INGREDIENTS
- 3 cups non-fat, 2% fat, full fat or high protein yogurt
- 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
- 2 cups assorted blackberries, raspberries and/or blueberries
- 1 cup chopped almonds
- 1 tsp vanilla
DIRECTIONS
- Layer 1/3 cup yogurt at bottom of serving glasses
- Combine the berries
- Alternate layers of fruit and almonds with yogurt until glasses are full
- Serve immediately
TIPS
If you're following a higher carb diet, you can replace chopped almonds with high quality low sugar or sugar-free granola
Sweeten with zero calorie sweetener such as erythritol, monk fruit or stevia or a dash of honey or maple syrup
Most parfait in store are loaded with added sugar so it's best to make your own unless you can one with no added sugars
